Bio:
Lisa Carlton, PhD, is Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs at REGENXBIO Inc., a leading AAV gene therapy company. She has been at the company since 2015 and currently leads Regulatory Strategy, CMC Regulatory, Medical Writing, and Regulatory Operations teams delivering high-quality regulatory submissions to advance potential new gene therapies for patients. Lisa has over 25 years of experience in regulatory affairs and medical/technical writing in the government and nonprofit sectors, with the majority of her career spent in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.
After completing her BS in Biochemistry at NC State University, Lisa obtained an MS degree in Medicinal Chemistry and a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, followed by postdoctoral research at the NIH National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease in the Laboratory of Immunogenetics. She lives in Washington, DC with her family and serves on the Board of Trustees for E.L. Haynes Public Charter School (as Vice Chair and Parent Trustee), on the Board of Directors at both Learning Undefeated™ and the TSC Alliance®.
